TRNC Presidential Election Officially Launched
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will hold its presidential election on Sunday, October 19, 2025. The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has released the official election calendar and outlined the election bans that will apply during the campaign period.

As of now, five candidates have declared their participation in the election:

- The People’s Party (HP) announced on July 30 that it will not field a candidate. However, it will engage in discussions with all candidates throughout the process—without making political deals.
- The Communal Democracy Party (TDP), together with independent MPs Ayşegül Baybars, Jale Refik Rogers, and former MP Gülgah Sanver Manavoğlu, have declared support for Tufan Erhürman.
